It was an easy day of farm chores and a family gathering for my son’s birthday. I always have fun showing people the animals and talking about our plans like where the cows will go, how we’ll rotate the turkeys on the pasture, what would the house look like if we removed the front porch enclosure, and how we hope someday our little farm could supplement our income so the Old Man can retire from his day job. I have learned so much even in our little bit of hobby farming. It’s amazing to see it all come together. I never imagined myself here. I wasn’t voted “most likely to be a farmer” in high school. But I love it and can’t wait to see where the Lord takes us on our little farm.
