The corn is up, the tomatoes are in, we’ve planted too many runner beans in three varieties, no less… and we’re still planting. We added posts and fencing for supports for the beans, peas and berries. The pumpkins and squash take up residency under and around the corn. The herbs wait patiently in their little paper envelopes for their turn to hit the soil.

Tell me again, why did I plant all those beans? That’s right… I thought the they’d look pretty blooming in their three glorious colors. Who wants beans? Anyone?
