This is a pic of our raised beds we tended when we lived in the neighborhood. They were great for growing carrots. Now we plant five strips of veggies in the side yard of our 2-acre hobby farm. We’re still learning and I have yet to produce a decent yield of sweet corn. Maybe this will be the year!

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;
and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
2 Corinthians 9:6

I hereby declare it is time to start planning the garden!

I ordered/downloaded my seed catalogs today. I plan to use heirloom seeds this year.
I have some pork rub recipe’s I want to experiment with and am going to try to grow my own herbs and peppers to make my own mix. I can use Dad’s dehydrator to make my own onion powder and pepper flakes.
Of course we’ll give sweet corn another try this season. And tomatoes! Always tomatoes! Green beans, sugar snap peas, cucumbers, watermelon, pumpkins, squash, and maybe we’ll start some berries. And everything needed to make a good salsa!
New ventures: we have designed a space for a worm farm and found a recipe to make an organic bug spray. Think it will work?
Now, where can I buy worms?
